The seamen on strike have accepted unconditional arbitration. INTIMIDATION DENIED. London, June 25. In, the Houso of Commons, Mr. Will Crooks, Labour member for Woolwich, characterised tho charge of Mr. Hunt (Unionist) of intimidation in the East End as a deliberate falsehood. Instead of there being rows of victims in Poplar Hospital, ho had found only seven, and tho house surgeon stated that assaults were fewer during the strike than at any time. j The London Strike Committee has resolved to telegraph to tho international trades organisations in Australia, America, and Germany for loans and support. ' .SHOOTING OF A UNION DELEGATE. London, June 25. Dove, a fireman, lias been charged at North Woolwich with shooting a man named Holford, a delegate to the Sea.men's Union, in the foot. Holford tried to prevent him going to work, and struck Dove on the face. Dove fired, the revolver to frighten Holford. PORTUGUESE STRIKE ENDS. Lisbon, June 23. The weavers' striko at Covilha has been Settled. , The tramway strike has been settled.
