EDUCATION OP JUDGES. Tho General Committee of the Waira-' rapa and East Coast P. and A. Society met on Friday, Mr. E. Eagle, junr., president, being in the chair, and al>out 25 members present. Tho education of judges in various classes, as instituted at the society's last show, was discussed, and it was decided to ask (he committee, which drew up the rules, to consider the reports handed in oil the efforts of thoso who made use of the teaching last year, and also to invite tliem to again attend for tho same purpose until the society can nominate them as competent to net at agricultural shows. Fifteen new members were elccied. The Ground Committee's report on the contract for the roofing over of the society's sheep pens was read to the meeting, and a special committee was set up (o consider the details contained in the report. The Programme Committee met in tlio afternoon, and revised the society's programme, making many minor alterations and additions, winch were considered likely to add to the attractiveness of the show to be held on October 23 and 21 next. Special prizes arc allotted for tho llolstein classes, in view of the Holstein Association's North Island championships being awarded to the society this year. Classes 'are to be included for exhibits by school children for writing, etc., from schools in the Waintrapa district.
