CAPTAIN ROSTRON IN THE BOX.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. i Juno 23, 5.5 p.m.) London, Juno 22. Further evidence has been taken in the Court of Inquiry into tho loss of the Titanic. Captain Rostron, of the CunaTd liner Carpathia, which rescued the survivors, stated that he raised the Carpathia's speed to 171 ■ knots on receipt of the Titanic's wireless message calling for assistance. If it was a. clear night, and unless he knew there was a lot of ice about her, ho would feel perfectly justified in going at full speed. The Titanic's passengers told him that the earlier boats to leave tho ship were unfilled, because tho people did not want to go away. , Sir Rufns Isaacs, Attorney-General, on behalf of the Government, thanked Captain Rostron for saving so many lives.
