UNUSUAL POSITION IN CHINA. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Rec. June 21, 11.5 p.m.) Peking, June 21. The President, Yuan-Shih-Kai, has declined to fill the pap created by tho flight of the Premier by combining the duties of President arid Premier. He lias suggested that Chang-Chun, a. well-known southerner, should bo appointed Premier, or, if he declines, Hsu-Shih-Chang, a former Imperial guardian. Both are sound men of high literary attainment, and free from personal ambitions. The Cabinet lias approved of this course.
