THE BOYS' INSTITUTE.
A' society wliich is doing, in an unostentatious way, a great amount of good is the Boys' Institute. It is cdueatin;: the youth of the .city, to he gcod men and. good citizens. A staff of 'honorarv instructors assist an energetic committee, comprised of prominent city men, in providing physical and mental training, while in the special Institute Ijnildinjr there are all the means at hand for healthy exercise and cntertniniiient. The great heed of the organisation is money. Although it lws a good building, and will shortly take up new quarters on a site provided bv the generosity of a Wellington lady, the work of maintenance is a heavy recurring expenditure. In the Town Hall next Tuesday an occasion will he provided for citizens to .show their practical nporecintion of tho eood work heing (lone by the Institute. Tho Prime Minister, the Hon. T. Mackenzie, who takes a special interest in the society, will deliver an address on "Agriculture in Mew Zealand," illustrated by some special kineiuatograph views of farm life in tho Dominion. Mr. Mackenzie lias made a special study of our agricultural industries, and his treatment of the history of our ngriculturo should he interesting as well as instructive.
