Id., Bs. 7d., to 9s 9d • forward wethers, to 16s. Cattle: Dairy cow=, £6 10s., £7 6s. 6d.. £7 10s., to £7 '2s. 6d.; yearling steers, to £i 10s.

Dalgety and Company, Ltd re--port having held sales at Wanganui' oil June 13 and at Waverlcy on June 15 Th" report statcs:-At Wanganui we yarded 3950 sheep and 100 cattle, all classes niectin" with a, ready sale, fresh.wethers and lambs being in particularly c ood demand. At tt averley we yarded 1809 sheep, and a fewhead of cattle. A total clearance of sheep ivas effected under the hammer, and the cattle met, with a, satisfactory demand. -U ttanganui: Four-tooth wethers. 14s. 6d. to 15s. . Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., report having held their weekly stock sale at Waipnkurau yesterday, when they offered 2700 sheep to a largo , attendance of the public. Fat sheep \vere not so keenly competed for, and, consequently, there was a. dvop in fat ewes and wethers. Store sheep sold well up to late rates. Bate ewes, 13s. ild to 155.; fat wethers, 17s. to 195.; storo shorn lambs, 85. to 12s. 6d.; cull owes, in lamb, Bs. 2d:; cull two-tooth wethers. 11s. 2d.; cull two-tooth ewes, lCs. 5d.; two-tooth store wethers, 15s. 9d.: four-year ewes, in lamb, one ear-mark, 16s.
Messrs. Dalgcty and Company, Ltd. (Palmerston North branch) report having held' a clearing sale on account of Mr. J. M'Donell. on his property. Pern Fiats, Marton, ou Monday, when there was a large attendance: of buyers, who showed keen competition for all classes lot stock, implements, and sundries. All classes of stock were looking exceptionally well, and realised the following prices :-Shoep: Small ewo hoggets. 10s.; evre hoggets. 13s. 4d.; f.f.m. ewes, 111 lamb to i-mithdown rams. 16s. 3d.; eix-tnoth owe*, in lamb to Southdown rams, 18». 3d.; tvro-tooth' ewes, in ■lamb to Southdown rams. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report a good yarding of sheep and cattle at Marton on Tuesday. A clearance was made at highly satisfactory price 3 under the hammer. Under the hnimner and privately afterwards we disposed of the whole of our entry at satisfactory prices. We f.old fat forward wethers ta 15s. 9d.; empty store ewes, to 95.; wcaucr heifers 'Ilolstein-Jcr. pey cross!, to £3 35.; weaner siecv- and heifers, to 205.; dairy cows, £5 to £6.

There wa« a smaller attendance, than usual, and bidding at auction was slack. Wo were, however, successful in placing the bulk of the yarding, and have to report a, satisfactory clearance.
