AN IMPORTED CLYDESDALE.

MILTON SYNDICATE PURCHASE. A Clvdesdalc entire colt purchased in Great Britain on behalf of a syndicate of Milton breeders- arrived at its destination last week. The recent importation is Lord Menteith, a rising three-year-old eolt (16GS8) in Vol. XXXIV. brown, four ankles and hind legs to knee white, a little white on face; sire Amagonr (IG4G9, also Vol. XXXVI) by Dunure Blend (U(i9l) out of Maggie of Ballinton (4512} by Jordan Show, a horse that was first at the Highland Agricultural Show, as was also his sire, Lord Ailsa, while Dunure Blend was by Montrave Mac, whom everybody knows. Lord Menteith's dam, Young Polly of Coll (29337 volume XXXIV) by Menteith Favourite (12218) g. dam Folly of Ballinton (1G030). , Lord Menteith stands 1G.3, on grand legs and feet, is well topped and coupled, and a close, good mover, walking and trotting.
