Big brothers of seven years of age hnte nothing so much as being set the task of minding small sisters of three (says an 'Australian writer). I have heard of'their adopting more or less successful devices, such as tying "baby" up to a tree, or a bucket of bricks, and even locking the., troublesome charge in the pantry, in order to escape responsibility. But such methods are crude and commonplace besido tho stroke of -gonitis which suggested to ,the eon of an old pal of mine that the most effective way of preventing his little sister getting into mischief while he playod marbles with a school mate was to securely nail her skirts to the kitchen floor. '
