"The Times," in commenting on the New Zealand four million loan, put on tho market a few days ago, says that although many view such short-dated issues with disfavour, nevertheless, it was probably New Zealand's best way out of a difficult position. lii tho opinion of one good judge, adds "The Times/' it would have been better, however, to have financed tho issue of a lsng four per cent loan at a trifle under par than to pay possibly a good deal over four per cent for a chance of renewal two years hence.
