(Before Mr. W. G. Riddcll, S.M.) j I AT THE BOXING. SPECTATORS IN TROUBLE. At the Magistrate's Court yesterday Stephen Hansen and Thomas Iverson were charged with having committed a breach of the peace at the Town Hall 'on Thursday evening. Sub-Inspector Sheahan stated that the disturbance had taken place during the progress of the Wellington Association's boxing contests. Hansen was asked how lie pleaded, "I plead guilty, sir," he said. 'This man (Iverson) had nothing to do with it at all." Iverson said that he was not guilty. Constable Taylor gave evidence as to what ho had seen, and then Iverson was asked if he had any questions to put to the. witness.

Iverson endeavoured to say something, .but did not effect his purpose very well. It was then explained that he stuttered, and he was consequently requested to write down what he wished to convey to the Court. This lie did, after which another Constable gave evidence to the effect that the disorderlincss hod arisen out of a dispute over the refereo's decision. llanscn was fined .£2, and Iverson £1.

ECCENTRIC BEHAVIOUR, Cecilia' I'ord was charged with being a rogue and a, vagabond. It was alleged that she had without lawful excuse been found bv night in tho Trocadero Private Hotel. "

Robert Hendry (manager of the hotel), John Henry Jeffries (clerk at the hotel), and David Abbott (music hall artist) gave evidence to the effect that defendant had stayed at the hotel recently, but that on the night in question (June C), when she had no right to lie on the premises, she had been found walking about in the vicinity of the rooms. It was stated that when she had been questioned as to the reason of her presence on the premises she had stated that she had engaged a certain room, but her statement was incorrect, as another person had booked that room. She had not booked any room. It was stated that the young woman had keen in trouble on other occasions, and his Worship remanded her for sentence till to-day.
