Mr. Fisher, the Commonwealth Priino Minister, in the course of his reference to reciprocity between New Zcnlaud and Australia, expressed a hope that young men living iu the most democratic country in the world -would embrace the- opportunity to lead and guide public thought "in Australia in five direction of freedom, justice, and peace. The "Daily Telegraph," commenting on this, says: "So what Mr. Fisher contemplates is v not only fiscal unity, but an influx of young New Zealand voters to Australia, to teach its benighted denizens how things ought to be done." Dealing with the invitation to Sir Joseph IVard to enter Federal politics, the "Telegraph," after paying him a tribute as a politician, adds: "Wo are not even in deep water, much less in such dangerous depths as needs the Now Zealand lifebelt being thrown into the Tasman for us lest we politically perish.'
