Mails for Australian States closo at the Bluff, per Maunganui, this day at 3 p.m. To-day (Monday), June 3 (King's Birthday), the Poet Office will he open in all its branches (except the Money-order Department) from 9to 10 a.m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close at 8 a.m. The only dispatches of mails by trains will be for the Wairarapa, Manawatu, Kangitikei, Wang'auui, Taranaki districts, which will close fit 6.30 a.m., and those for Hawkc's Bay and Auckland districts will close at 8 a.m. There will be no day clearances of the city and suburban receivers. There will not be any deliv9r;es through the city and suburbs by the letter-carriers. TJntess otherwise specified, registered letters' and parcels-post packages must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail closes. All the principal mails by train and steamer close at To Aro and Courtenay Place Post Offices at lh,?. same hours as at the Chief Post Office, with the exception, that there is no late-fee clearance, and that mails bv the ferry steamers for eouthtrn offices close at 6 p.m. D.
