An inquest was held at Gateshead. Durham, on John Thomas Brewis. 38, who • was hilled during a gale through the Toof of a house blowing off and striktnsr him. He was ploughing at the time, and his two hor«es were also killed. An eye-witness said he saw the roof about sixty feet un In the air, moving "like an aeroplane." Accidental death was the verdict.
