Kw-35 in lamb, from 10s. 6d.; empty aged ewes, 9s. Id. to 10s. 5d.; cull woolly lambs, Bs. A good line of 60 two and a half-year steers made £5; empty store cows, £3 3s. 6d. to £4; heifere in calf, £4 195.; cows, in calf, from £3 17s. to £5; fat heifers, £6 ■fat cows, £4 155.; vreaners, small, from 28s.

Messrs. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palmerston sale on Thursday, wo had a fair yarding of 6hecp, and a particularly heavy yarding of cattle. All classes of stock met with a keen demand, and W3 managed to quit the bulk of out entry at satisfactory prices. Sheep: Two and four-tooth ewes, in lamb, 16s. 6d.; sixtooth ewes, 17a.; aged Lincoln ewes, in lamb, 125.; cull ewes, in lamb. Bs. 9d.; lambs/ te. 9d.. Bs. There- was good competition, very little being turned out unsold. Sheep: Lambs, 9s. to 10s. 7d. At my Uremii yards in the afternoon of the same day I had a small entry, liidding was good all through, all the sheep and practically all the cattle bjing sold at the hammer at the following rates:— Woolly lambs, fe. 5d.; empty ewes, ss. 6d. ; two-tooth wethers, 13s. At my Douglas yards on the same day I hod a heavy entry, nil pens being well filled.. On Tuesday, May 28, at my Stratford yards I hud a special entry of 250 Walkato three-year bullocks. These had just come off a fortnight's drive, and were looking travel-wsory. Consequently bidding was not as keen as usual. Other cattle were entered in smaller numbers than at recent sales. The attendance of the public was very good, buyem beinir present from nil parts of Tannciki and flangilikei. Hidding from the start wa~ very good, and everything (with the exr.'pUon of /ome of the AVniliato bullocks and two small pens of heifers) was cleared during thu ilay.
