Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Ltd., report on tlwir ijolway sale as follows:— A medium entry of sheep met with good j competition, and realised satisfactory prices. Cattle came forward well up to advertised numbers, and, with the exception of a few small psns and one line of bullocks, wc had a good clearance. The. special entries offered on account of Mr. 11. T. Hume, Aolianga, and Messrs. Barton Bros.,' Mataikona, were all quitted at auction, prices throughout being good. Following is a list of prices realised. Cattle: Kmpty store cows, £2 18s. to £3 7s. 6d.; forward empty cows, £4 to £4 155.; account Mr. H. i. Hume—Forward speyed heifers and cows, £4 9s. 6d., £4 13s„ to £4 17s. (tho line of 130 averaging £4 12s. 3d.); four-year bullocks, £6 l'Os.; forward , bullocks, £6 15s. to £7 2s. 6d.; account- Messrs. Barton Bros., Mataikona—s6 Polled Angus empty* forward cows realised £5. Other. lin-:s of fat cows sold at up to £5. Sheep: Small lambs, to 75.; aged ewes, 6s. 6d. to Bs. 3d.; empty store ewes, 9s. Id. to 9s. 2d.
Messrs. Dalgety and Co. report of their Palmerston sale on May 30:—Very good entry of sheep and cattle, which were sold as follow:—Small mix?d lambs, Bs. 6d.; empty store ewes, 95.; forward empty ewes, Us. 9d.; mixed aged ewes, in lamb, to 9s. 9d.; forward wethers, to 14s. 2d. Cattle: Empty vows, £3 9s to £4; backward dairy cows. £4 10s, to £5: bulls, £2 10s.; forward cows, £4 175.; two to two and a half-year steers, £4 155.; three to thrse and a halfyear bullocks, £6 75.; grade Holstein dairy heifers, £7 2s. 6d.
Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., report having held their usual stock sale at Ongaonga yesterday wtien they otfered 1000 sheep to a largo attendance ot the public. They realised the following prices:—Fat lambs. Us. 6d.. lis. lid., to 12s. 3d.; ewe lambs, 135.; mixed-sex lambs, lis. lid.; twotooth wethers, 13s. 7d.
Messrs. Dalgcty and Co., Ltd., Wellington, report as follows on their' usual fortnightly stock sale at the Upper Uutt yesterday: —We**had a good yarding of sheep, and a particularly large one of cattle, composed chiefly of dairy sorts, including a. choice line of cows and heifers from a Hawera client. Tllsse latter met with a good sale, but the supply of cat-tic was slightly in excos-s of the demand. All good sorts, however, met with spirited competition. They also report ha vine held a very succossful dairy sale on account of Mr. IV. Chowcn at his homestead, Tokotnaru, on Wednesday.
