Citizens are reminded of the opportunity afforded them to assist the fund by attending the excellent concc-rt that Miss Beatrice liichmond has arranged to take place in the Town Hall on Saturday evening next. Tho gallery will be open to the public on Sunday afternoon and this is the last occasion ou which citizens who are otherwise engaged during the week will be able to see the pictures. The usual collection will be taken at the door and half the amount so contributed will go directly to the fund.

The fund, which is being raised by the pupil:- of the primary schools of Wellington and immediate suburbs now totals over ,£is, the contributing schools being Brooklyn, Mount Cook Girls', Muritai, Terrace, Clyde Quay, Kaiworra, Wadcstown, Newtown, South Wellington, Normal (Tiiorndon), Island Bay, Karon, and ii 11*t District High School.
