May SO, 1.5 a.m.) Port Darwin, May 29. The Taiyuan's patient has died in thehospital. On the assumption that tlio case was one of plague the whole of the premises have been strictly quarantined. Sydney, May 29. Passengers by tho Japanese steamer Yawata Ma.ru'have been quarantined. Only one is suffering from smallpox.
