SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for unsettled weather —oloudy and misty, with rain generally.. The present southerly winds will probably back by west to northerly again, and inercaso in force. A temporary rise in tho barometer preceding o further fall for more stormy weather conditions, which aro likely to prevail for about four days. Misty and cloudy weather has been experienced, with rain in most parts of tlm Dominion. The winds have been variable and moderate to strong, with a slowlyfalling barometer. B. 0. BATES. Meteorological Office, Wellington, May 29, 1912. DISTRICT REPORTS. (From Our Special Correspondents.) Wanganui, May 29.—Heavy rain last night; frequent, showers to-day; prospect of more rain. Feilding, May 29.—Bainy morning; fine afternoon; cold night. Palmerston, May 29.—Weather fine, but threatening. Shannon, May 29.—Du1l and wet. Otaki, May 29.—Showery. Greytown, May 29—Wo had a severe storm last night and a heavy fog this morning. It has been drizzling of rain all day. ' Masterton,' May 29—A heavy thunderstorm, accompanied by vivid lightning, passed over the district this afternoon. Cold and cloudy conditions przvailcd generally during the day! and there are indications of more rain.
