America, United States of America and West Indies, will be via Fiji, l'anning Island, Honolulu, and Vancouver, closing at Wellington, per Main Trunk tram, on Thursday, June 6, at 10.50 a.m.On Mondav, June 3 (lung's Birthday), tho Post Office will he open in all its branches (except the Motley-order Department) from 3to 10 a.m. Mails by steamers sailing on that day will close at 8 a.m. Tho only dispatches of mails by trains will be for the Wairarapa, Manavatu, Itangitikfli, Wanganui, Taranaki districts, which will close at 6.30 a.m., and those for Hawke's Bay and Auckland districts will close at 8 a.m. There will bo no day clearances of the city and suburban receivers. Tliers will not be any deliveries through the city and suburbs by the letter-carriers.
On Saturday afternoon, June i, the lcttcr-carriers will raako a full delivery in the city and suburbs, closing at the Chief Post Office- at i.40 p.m., also a delivery from the Drill Shed, Majriuity Street, will h<a made from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. The <lelivsry counter at the Parcels Department Drill Shed, will,be open from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m. on Saturday, June/1, also the public counter at the Chief Post, Office from 8.30 to 9.30 p.m., for the delivery of articles addressed to the Post Ofilco only.
All books and sample-packets and newspapers for places within the Dominion must be posted half an hour before the ordinary letter-mail closes. Unless otherwise specified, registered lettern and pareeis-post package* must be handed in and money-orders obtained one hour before the ordinary mail doges.
All the principal mails by train and steamer close at ''To Aro and C-ourteii'ay Place Post Offices at Ilia same hours as at the Chief Post Ofilce, with the exception that tltcre is no late-fee clearance, and that mail 3 by the ferry steamers for eolithern offices close at 6 p.m. D.
