ENTERTAINMENTS.
1 THEATRE ROYAL. Vaudeville attracted another large attendance at the Theatre Royal last evenling. A popular turn is tliat of. Wong Toy Sun, a Chinese conjuror,_ who is said to have come direct from China to make his first appearance in New- Zealand. Other good items were contributed by the Reese Trio, musical experts, La Petite Laurie, and Tom Lee, English comedian. Miss Nellie Kolle scored as a vocalist. The programme contains numerous other items of an amusing and entertaining character It will bo repeated this evening. FULLERS-' PICTURES, The new programme of pictures at tho Skating Rink is strong in star features, "A Timely Rescue," "Tho Lion's Revenge (two fine photo-dramas), "Sherlock Holmes" (a comedy) being among the best. Tho supporting items aro of a superior class. The programme will be repeated this evening. THE KING'S THEATRE. Among the best of the star films on tho new picture programme . at the King's Theatre are.:TT7"'J i (a drama of tho sea), "The Lion's Revenge," "Ida's Promise," "A Violin and a Piper," "A Spanish Dilemma," and "Tho Three Labels;" The supporting films aro excellent. Tho programme will be repeated this evening.' TEE NEW THEATKE. "The Aviator's Generosity" is the chief picture now being shown at tho New Theatro. Among tho other pictures are; 'The Mvstic Ring," "Jean Intervenes," "Hume/' and "Lawn Tenuis." SHORTT'S PICTURE THEATRE. A very fine programme is boing shown at Shartt's Theatre. Among the pictures nro: "The Ship Boy's Grit, "Rome and tho Tiber," "Tho Deputy and the Girl," and "A Message from tho Moon/' 8.-P.'S VISIT, 1 To-night, in the Town Hall, Genenl Baden-Powell will deliver his only lecture I ir, Wellington. His subject is "Scouting in ' War and Peace," in which tho Chief Scout takes his hearers through pome exceptionally interesting phases l flf Ins varied career, including the famous Mnfeking siege. Many interesting slides and films will form an attractive part of the entertainment, which, being in such capable hands, should prove of the utmost interest. Messrs. J. and N. Tait direct special attention to the arrangements regarding the sale of tickets. THE ADELPHI. Tho Adelphi Picture Theatre was again liberailv palronised last evening. The whole of the picturos comprised in the present programme touch a nigh standard of excellence, and tho programme is pleasantly varied. Few better picture dramas havo boon screened in Wellington than "For the Honour of tho Family," and "Puppets of Fate." Equally good of their kind aro the comedy items, "Dupin is a Nui?anee," and "Nick 'Winter v. Max Linder," Tho programme will be repeated this evening. "THE DANDIES." "The Dandies" are establishing themselves as popular favourites in tbeir nightly entertainments in tl(o Concert Chamber of the Town Hall, and their lensthv Wcllineton season bids fair to be highly successful. Their vocal items aro bright and diversified, and the comedians of tho party unfailingly provoke unstinted laughter. "The Dandies" will appear at tlio Concert Chamber until further notice.
