Mustapha Nazim and Tohorkess Ahmed have each been sentenced, to fifteen years' imprisonment with hard labour for murdering Zeki Bey, a journalist, on July 10, 1911. Zeki Buy, a chief secretary in ttrt Turkish Public Debt Administration, was shot dead late at night while returning (o his house in Makrikeni.- .Zeki Bey, who was after, the events of April 1. , ), 1900, but was nciiuitled by the court-iiitirtinl, wns not only n typical official of the old school, but a clover uud hnrd-hilting journalist, who helped at the time of Hie split in the Committee Party to found the "Shalmih," a journal which, despite 'sundry ohniifceS' "of name consequent upon suppressions by the court-martial, has not lost, an npportunity of attacking the Salonika Committoe iu the most vigorous terms.
