The Surveyor-Generals' conference has approved of the adoption of tho system of orthography used by the Royal Geographical Society, the Colonial and Foreign Offices, the Admiralty, and tho War Office for Native names. Tho conference also approved of a uniform eystcin of spelling, place names.
