THE POPE'S HEALTH.
Genuine- alarm is manifested within the Vatican at the health of the Pope. His Holiness is not actually ill, nor is he suffering from any organic disease, but no secret is nnade of the fact that the strain to which he has l)een subjected during the last few months has greatly reduced his vitality, and left him in poor condition to withstand the- terrific heat of the Roman summer. The Papal physicians are worried because the Holy Father will neither take more rest nor diminish his daily routine.
