A SIX-YEAR OLD HERMIT.
FLEECE 21 INCHES LONG.
The above sheep is a six-year-old hermit which has apparently never been shorn. It was caught ou a clifT-faco in tho Middle Block paddock of Mako Jlako Station, Tpkoftiaru Bay, and brought in to • the homestead by one of the shepherds. The fleece' weighed- 471b., and was 21 inches long. Two locks of the fleece have been retained in the station office, one being 21 inches long and the other 19 inches.
