The Labour Council passed a resolution, repudiating the proposed one day strike as being calculated to prejudice the cause of the imprisoned Lithgow men and bring the whole industrial movement into comtempt. , The resolution also expresses regret that the affiliated unions participated in the agitation for a strike before consulting the council.
