C.arpentier defeated Willie Lewis, of America, on points in'a boxing match of twenty rounds. , GENERAL BADEN-POWELL'S LECTURE. The box plan for General Baden-Powell's lecture, which opened yesterdav, indicates that a very large audience will greet tho distinguished soldier m Wednesday evening next at the Town Hall, when 'lie will deliver his lecture on "Scouting in War and Peace," in which the General will touch upon many points of interest. He will relate his experiences in Mafeking, and the Transvaal, Rhodesia, . India, Canada, etc., and, assisted by many pictures which lie secured during the several campaigns which he lias taken pirt i'm most interesting evening should bo forthcoming. Messrs. J. and N. Tait announce that the three and two .shilling seatswill bo on sale at. the Dresden on Monday next, where the box plan is also available.
