GENDARMES AND BURGLARS.
*-. DESPERATE DEED Br A COMRADE. By Telegraph-Press Association-Copyright Berlin, May 21. Gendarmes at Bredow, Prussia, were pursuing two burglars, when one of tho latter fired, killing one official, named Kleinschmied. Tho gendarmes, retaliating, wounded a burglar, and the latter was then shot dead by a oomrode, apparently to prevent his betrayal of secrets. The second burglar was eventually killed. Neither has so far been identified.
