DIAMOND JUBILEE.

. -o . OF KNOX CHURCH, HUTT. The diamond jubilee celebrations in cow nection with Knox Church, Lower Hutt, were brought to a close last evening, when en "Auld Lang Syne" "social" was held. The Jfev. J. M'Caw presided over an excellent attendance, which included a number of representatives from tho Wellington Presbytery local bodies and churches, and a number of old identities. Tho Hon. G. Laurenson, Minister for Labour, congratulated the congregation on having successful? attained its sixtieth year of establishment. Other speakers were Mr. ,T. G. W. Aitlcen, Eovs. A. Thomson, B. Ginger, R. Inglis, Mr. H. Baldwin, and Councillor Koots. Apologies wore read from the Bev, J. Jones, llov. W. Shircr, nnd Mr, E. Pi Bunny, Mayor of Lower Hutt. During the even, ins musical items were given by Misses NatUKch and Williamson, Mrs. Leighton, and Messrs. Scully, Grant, and B!akely.
