Mr. Asquith, Prime Minister, replying to a deputation from the Trades Union Congress, said that he did not think those who favour tho nationalisation of tho railways had been satisfied with the burden of proof. Ho proposed to invite a deputation from the railway companies to discuss tho question with the Government.
