Warrant authorising the construction if Two Bridges over the Wiiiwetu and Hutt Rivers, together with the approaches thereto, and apportioning the cost. NOTICE is herein- given as follows:— 1. By a warrant dated the *22nil day of April, 1012, and published in the Now Zealand Gazette of (lib day of May, 1012, and made under the'provMons of Section 110 of "The Public Works Act, 1908," and its amendments, His Excellency the Governor authorised tiie execution by the Council of the City of Wellington of the works described in the Schedule hereto. 2. By the said Warrant His Excellency the Governor, in pursuance of an agreement dated the 20th November, 10US), the parties to which were the corporations of (he contributing local bodies mentioned hereunder, and Philip Joseph Nathan, o? the City of Wellington, Merchant, apportioned the cost of the said works as follow:— (1) The cost of the western approach to the new Bridge over tlso Ilutt. River by the I'ctone Borough Council. (2) Tiie balance of the cost of the said works (loss such contribution thereof as may be made thereto, if any, by the Government of New Zealand and by I'hilip Joseph Nathan, and less the cost of any part of the said works which, by said Deed, the said Philip Joseph Nathan has covenanted shall be executed) shall be borne- by the Wellington City Council, the Lower Hutt Borough Council, the Eastbourne Borough Council, the Petone Borough Council, and the Hutt County Council as follows;—' £ s. d. By the said warrant it was directed— (a) That any contribution by the Eastbourne Borough Council not already paid out of tho ordinary funds of the Borough should, subject to tho provisions of the said Deed, be payable and recoverable in manner provided by "The Public Works Act, 1903," anil its amendments. (b) That the sum of -E-SSB and all other sums payable by the Petone Borough Council shall, subject to the provisions of the said Deed, ba payable and recoverable in ninnner provided by "The Public Works Act, IMS," and its amendments.
