A DOMINION HOWLING ASSOCIATION. A meeting of tho council of the Northern Bowling Association was held at tho Wellington Club's Pavilion last evening, Mr. ,T. S. Keith (president! jn the chair. There was an attendance of about thirty delegate, Tho principal business of the evening was the consideration of tho draft rules and constitution, submitted by tho New Zealand Bowling Association as a basis of amalgamation. Tho president said (hat the Executive Committee of tho council had held four meetings for the purpose of considering certain amendments to {ho draft constitution and rules framed by the New Zealand Bowling Association. There had been three suggestions—tho New Zealand Bowling Association, tho Dominion Howling Association. ond the United Bowling Association. Having settled that point, he proposed to take the rules as read. Mr. F. Bennett moved I liar the new organisation bo styled "the Dominion oi New Zealand Bowling Association." This was seconded by Mi. it. Mollies. .Mr. T. Ballinger mover! as an _ amendment"" the name "United Bowling Association of New Zealand." This was seconded by Mr. Blanchard. The amendment was lost. Mr. Millar moved as o further amendment, "tho New Zealand Bowling Association." Tins was seconded by Mr. Maclcay. This wa.s lost on tho voices. The motion was then put and carried by a largo majority—"the Dominion oi New Zealand Bowling Association." It was agreed that the headquarters of the asst-ciaiion s,hou!d be at Dunc.lin in the year of commencement, and thereafter at AiickUiiul, Christchurrh, and Wellington in rotation.
