TO-DAY'S DINNER.
(Specially written fcr The Doiiimioh.l WEDNESDAY. Artichoko Soup. Sausages in Batter. Potatoes. Cauliflower. LimlUtunie. Pudding. SAUSAGES IN BATTER. One p6uml sausages, Jib. flour, 1 egg, 5 pint milk, a pincli of salt. Skin the sausages, grease a piedish, mix the Hour ami salt in a basin, nutko a well, break in the egg, and a(ld a litl'le of tile milk. Mix smoothly. Hold tho basin on one side, and heat for 10 minute*. Stir in the rest of the milk. Allow the batter to stand for 1 hours, longer if possible. Tut Hit* sausages into the picdish, sprinkle with pepper' and salt, pour the batter over, and cook in a quick oven for about 1J hours. Serve at ouee with a good brown gravy. FOR TO-MOIifiOW. Half pint split peas (soaked overnight), stock, loin of mutton, onions, treacle, and suet.
