In the Reichstag, on a debate on foreign policy, tlio Socialists ifrclared that an understanding depended upon flerniany alone, as Britain had repeatedly pronounced in favjour of an entente. Dr. Spnhn, of the Centre party, desired Germany's relations with England to be intimate and as good as possible. Hcrr Vasserman said: "-'We must find means of rapproachement with Britain." Herr von Kiderlin-'Waechter (Minister for Foreign Affairs) stated that it was erroneous to think Germany was opposed to the abolition of the ripflit of seizure at sea, and commended the Enslish system of vigorously insisting cm the demands which fitted in with British policy.
