FLATTERS NEW ZEALANDMR. KING O'MALLEY AT THE SURVEYORS' CONFERENCE. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Eec. May 20, 8.50 p.m.) Melbourne, May 20. A Conference of Surveyors-General of 'Australia and New Zealand is being held here. Mr. King O'Mnlley, Minister for Public Affairs, in npen-'ng the Conference, said he was specially gratified that New Zealand was represented. His own opinion was that New Zealand would ultimately become a part of the Commonwealth, but if this would have the effect of arresting * her march towards democracy, he would rather she did not become a partner in the Commonwealth. New Zealand was at present the world's leader in economics and humanitarian laws.
