AUDIT DEPARTMENT LOOKING FOP, BUSINESS. A letter was received by tho 'Wellington Hospital and Charitable Aid Board from th© Audit Departments notifying that in the future a charge is to be made for auditing tho board's accounts according to the sealo approved by the Goveriinr-in-Couneil. Mr. G. London, who calicd the demand "a bolt from the blue," said, that this was going to cost tho board a very considerable amount, if it was arranged on the basis of last year's audit. Tho audit was a very complicated business, which would entail tho presence of an audit officer for a very considerable period. He moved that the Audit Department bo asked not to make the charge this year. The Rev. H. Van Stareren seconded the proposition, pointing out that the amount would be a very large one, and no provision had been made in the estimates for tho now charge. The motion was adopted.
