SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Present indications are for cold and damp weather generally, and snow is probable on higher levels in the couth. The barometer is> unsteady, a further fall preceding a decided rise in the north, but a temporary rise is probable in the south. Strong north-westerly to southwesterly winds are to bo expected in most parts of the countryThe barometer has fallen everywhere during the past 36 hours. The weather has been misty and cloudy at times in the north, and cold an<l showery in the south. • The winds have been variable, but strong westerlies have predominated. D. C. BATES.
