o TOTAL LOSS, .CJOOO. tßr Totarrach.-I'rosfl Association.! Pabiatua, May 18. A disastrous firo occurred in I'ahintaa early lliis morning, whereby tho twostoried premises owned and occupied by Messrs. J. W, Rturtoii and Co., general storekeepers, wem totally destroyed. The building was the largest of its kind in l'ahi.-itun, and was a fine commodious structure. A valuable stock was also carried. Tho building was insured' in the Liverpool, London, and Globe cfiico for .UIGfIO, and tho fixtures in the same oflico for ,£4ofl. I'isks on tho slock v.ero also held in the same ofiice and .n (he Kouth British. The amount hold by tho former is ,£725, but the amount hcnl by tho latter is not nvailnlilo at present. The total loss is estimated at JMOOG.
