JOAN OP ARC;S MIRACLES. At the Ordinary Session of tho,Sacred Congregation, held jn the Vatican Palace on the 2(ith u'it., tho following cases were laid lieforo tho Cardinals:—l. Regarding tho cidt which in obedience to the decrees of Urban VITI has always been withheld from the Venerable Servant of God, Plaeido Baccher, secular priest of the Order of St. Dominic, and rector of the ancient Church of tho Most Holy Name of Jesus lit Naples. 2. The validity of tho Apostolic Process compiled at Rome as to the fame for sanctitv of life, virtues and miracles of tho Servant of God Maria Do Matthias, foundress of the Sisters of tho Most Precious Blood. 3. The validity of the Apostolic Process compiled in the Curia of Orleans as to three miracles which are asserted to have been wrought by God at the intercession of Blessed Joan of Arc, i. l'inaily, tho validity of the Apostolic processes prepared for the Beatification and Canonisation of tho Venerable I'ietro Bardesio, professed lay-Brother of the Friars Minor. That the miracles ascribed to Blessed Joan of Arc's intercession have come beforo tho Sacred Congregation of Kites for discussion at such an enrly date is due to the earnest desire of Pins X that no time should ba lost in bringing the case of tho Maid of Orleans to a close. It is only a few months since the Bishop of Orleans came to Rome in person with tho documents concerning the three miracles in question.
