The Prime Minister sent a. telekenzie) Is returning; to town by the Napier express to-day. The Hon. J. A. Hanan, the Hon. G, Lanronson, the Hon. G. W, Russell, and the Hon, J, Colvin are in Wellington. The Hon. A. M. Myers is at Dunedin, th» Hon. W, D. 5. Mncdonald on the way overland from Gisborne to NapieT, and the Hon. Te Rangihiroa in the North Auckland district. The Hon. H. G. Ell will reach Blenheim to-day, nnd the Hon, T, Buxton is at Temukti.

Tho Hon. A. M, Myers is expected back from the south on Sunday morning,

The Hon. W. D. S. Macdonald, Minister for Public Work?, is returning overland from Gisborne to Napier, in order to see the country through which the projected railway will pass. He will probably reach Napier to-morrow evening and Wellington on Monday night.

The Hon. G. Laurcnson returned from Christchiircb. yesterday, He will go south again next week and will address a meeting at Alexandra South on Saturday, May 25.

The Hon. 3. Colvin leaves to-day for Blenheim and Havelock. He will attend a function in connection with tho Marlborough Dairy Association, and will return to town next Monday or Tuesday,

The Hon. H. G, Ell is expected back from Blenheim to-morrow night by the Pateena.

Mr. and Mrs. P. Early Smith, of London, are at present visitors to Wellington.

Mr. Montague M'Callum, of tho firm Df Messrs. Wingate «ind Co., Auckland, left on a trip to London by the Corinthic yesterday.

Mr. Herbert S. Claughton hns been appointed organist to fct. Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Wellington, and will tako up his duties early next, month. Mr. Claughton, who has officiated ns organist at St. Matthew's Church, Mastcrton, for the past five years, was formerly connected in a similar capacity with St. James's Parish Church, London, E., and the Parish Church, Woodford, London, N. Ho studied the organ and composition under Dre. Cuthberj Harris and Frodit. Kara, in London, and is an organ-licentiate of Trinity College of Music, London.

Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Williams, of Wellington, and Mrs. E. Taylor, (Mrs. Williams's mother) left on a visit to the Did Country by the Corinthic yesterday. Mr. Williams, who for many years was ono of Wellington's leading representative cricketers, hopes to see some of tho triangular Test cricket matches in England. Before leaving he was presented by tho staif of Messrs, George, Doughty, mm Co. with a travelling bajf as a memento of his nine years' connection with that firm.

Mr. 0. A. Cadwnllader, who was badly burned through his motor-car capsizing on the Carterton side of tho Waiohiiio Bridge on Friday night last, and the potrol setting his clothes on fire, died yesterdav afternoon. Deceased (soys our Carterton correspondent) was • a wellknown and respected fanner and contractor in the district. He leaves a widow and a family of three.

31 r. T. Churchward, secretary of tho Wellington Bowling Centre, lias returned from a visit to Nupier. While there ho was hospitably entertained'by the bowling fraternity, who made his stay a very pleasant one.
