OTAKI NOTES.
Mr. Eric Lyon, who has for some time conducted the business of Kirk and Lyon hero, leaves shortly for the Auckland district, his place being filled by Mr. Raplcy, of Wellington. Mr. Robertson, M.P., has been elected a member of the Levin Chamber of Commerce, The funeral of the late Mr. Geo. Millner took place on Tuesday, and was largely attended. The service was conducted by the Rev. C. J. Smith. Many floral tokens were sent. .
Privileges in connection with the Otaki Maori Racing Club were sold on Tuesday. The gates went to Mr. H. George at .£153 J outside publican's booth (Mr. Suhan), .£3B; inside publican's booth (Mr. Suhan), £92; outsido grandstand, Mr. Butterfield, JIG; horse paddock, Mr. ]{. George, £2 10s.
