MATTERS OF GROUNDS.
I lie City Council decided last night that the Wellington football Association should be informed that it is proposed to charge the Wellington Hockey Association and the Wellington lootball Association half fees each for the use of the Kilbirnie Reserve, as each association uses the ground for half (ho Saturday. The request of the Wellington Football Association to have lights placed in the reserves dressing-sheds is to be acceded to by the council, and the superintendent is to bo instructed to have kerosene lamps installed in each dressing-shed. HOCKEY. WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION. The .mid-week competitions advanced another stage on Wednesday afternoon. Iho match karori-Hui Mai, which was played at Karori, after a hard-fought game resulted in a draw, each side scoring a goal, Ihe game was rather remarkable for the poor shooting, chance after chance being thrown away on that account by both teams. The Pakeha-Petone match was played at Pelone, both teams Showing great improvement in their plav. The game was a fast one throughout, and finished up a draw—2 goals each.
