PUBLICAN'S BANKRUPTCY.
The first meeting of the creditors of Albert Swimlnle, publican, of Wellington, formerly of Woodville, was called for yesterday morning More the. Official Assignee, but there was no quorum. ' Mr. T. C. Hislop appeared for bankrupt, and Mr. A. 11. Meek for the executors of the late W. Moxham, creditors. Debts were stated at X'GO7 B=. Id., secured creditors at £3G2 7s. Id., and value of security at .£350, but the Official Assignee pointed out that the bankrupt had only a lialf-intercst in the security, a properly at l'ctone. Assets were set down at two shillings. The largest unsecured creditors were!---Govenlock, VToodvillo, ,£lO ss. '.'d.; Lμd«cke, Woodville, £\3 Bs.; Johnston and Co., .C7G os. 5d.; J. Mandcl, .£240; T. W. loiinp, £o3; Speicht and Co., £33; Young and Tripe, ,03;" Bolliu Bros., Christchurch, c£l3 Bs. 3d.; AVoodville Borough Council, 12s. 2d. The principal secured creditors were the executors of W. ' Moxham, Wellington, £l~n; Brandon and .Hislop. J;79 2s. Id. The assignee remarked that there was nothing in the estate for the unsecured creditors. He directed the bankrupt to supply him with further information. The meeting was adjourned sine die.
