RAILWAY GRIEVANCES.
(By Telegraph—Press Association.) Pahiatua, May 15. A. large deputation waited upon (ho District Traffic Maiiiigev and laid before him a number of railway grievances. I(o----niiests made were for new o'r enlarged trucking yards for sheep mid cuttle, double accommodation at the goods shed?, numerous station improvements, and an increased station staff.
The traffic manager acknowledged that the facilities nt the .station were very inadequate, and promised to submit a detailed report to the Department, including recommendation for an engineer to report. nr\ the yard". Regarding Hie inadequate lighting of Hip station nt night time, he said a scheme of lighting all stations and platforms was now being introduced.
