Mr. M'Bride, Premier of British Columbia", hns secured as a position for State offices for the Island site in the Strand, twice the size cf the Victorian. It lias a. 56ft. frontage. It is proposed to spend •£50,000 on a building. Ho intends seeing Mr. Bordon, Prime Minister of Canada, and will strongly advocate that Canada should occupy a site between the Gniety and the Victorian office.
