DEVELOPMENT OF THE VANCOUVER TRADE.. - Fijrures obtained : from a private soutco indicate that the total shipments of butter from 'New Zealand to London, from tho opening of tlio season of the steamer Romiiera on May totalled 608,000 boxes, or 19,210 cases less than for the 1910-11 season, the figures for which were 627,210 cases... The trade with Vancouver has shown an. immense, development during the season just closed. In the 1910-11 season the consignments to Vancouver totalled only 8000 boxes, whilst this seasort'th©" qua ntity has' iiseir to; betiveen IS,OOO and 49,000. The fairly heavy butter'shipments .to West of, England ports to (late ore;n6t yet ..available, nor have.the small;!consignments- .sent to South 'Africa been ;hiade up. ' ■ Cheese shipnients' to London for the season show an increase of 36,402 erates, the figures., for: the .present,,season-; being 283,500 crates, as against 217,098 last vear. A largo quantity, of cheese hasjilso .been ;shipp"ed to "West of England; ports, a voinrh estimate given by;a local merchant placing the total, at' aljoufc 35,000 "crates. '
