Advices from El Paso state that after months of manoeuvring by the rivol troops in Mexico, it is now believed that n decisive, battle is imminent. Fifteen thousand men of the two armies have encountered near Torreon, which the rebels are seeking to capture. Torreon is a city of 25,000 inhabitants, about half-way between ' the American frontier and Mexico City. GOMEZ ABDICATES. (Rec. May 13, 0.30 a.m.) Mexico City, May 12.: Senor 'Gomez has abdicated the rebels' •"provisional Presidency." .■■<■-■■■ General Orozco, the military leader of the revolt, is facing a Federal army of 7000 men. v No engagement has yet taken place, but the Federals hold the stronger positions. General Orozco's retreat is likely.
