Mil., report on their stock sale hold at Levin yesterday as follows:—Wo had full yardings nf both sheen and cattle, which were well competed for by a largo attendance of buyers from all parw of the district, and outside districts. Anything in the fat lino made stood money, also cows close to profit selling well, and we Tcport a total clearanco of all lines at the following prices :— Sheep: Fat ewes, to 135.; shorn lambs, to 7s. 9d., forward empty cwos, to Bs. The latter wero chiefly dairy heifers, for which there was a strong demand, and they sold well. Sheep also Eold well. Four and 5-year ewes, in lamb, 11s. to 13s. Bd.; 2-tooth ewes (small), 13s. At Fcilding on Irmay we ' had a good yarding of 6hcep and cattle. The sheep were (in the caso of good ewes) well competed for. Cattle were not so brisk of sole as of late, but we disposed of almost all our entry. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd.. report that at their Levin sale yesterday they ■offered a very heavy yarding' of cattle to a full attendance of buyers, who were -present from Palmerston North. Foxton, Shannon, Otaki, Pahautamii, Wellington, and the surrounding districts. The sale from the start was good, and with tho exception of ono small pen of cattle tho whole of the entry was cleared at highly satisfactory prices. Wellington butchers were operating freely, and bought several lots of cow and heifer heef. There were also buyers in the yard for springing cows nnd heifers, niid anything good met a ready sale. The. firm sold a lino-of very choice Holstcin-Jersey cross weaner heifers from the Taranalu district, at £3 6s.
