Mr. Roosevelt writes to a local newspaper, explaining his references to Canada in a recent letter he sent to President Taft. Mr. Roosevelt says he never favoured annexation of Canada by the United States, and he hoped no ill-feoling would result. He has always wished the two nations to live in harmony along their borders.
