The award is to expire at the end of tli® year, at the same time as other building trade awards, in view of the proposal to arranpe for uniform hours, holidays, and working conditions generally for workers in all building trades as soon as current awards expire. The agreement also contains the following novel proviso:—"ln order to deal with any detail dispute that mny arise on any job where three or more men ;\re employed, ,i committee, consisting of one employer and one workman, sliall be appointed, and, in case of their non-agree-ment, the matter shall, then be referred to tho Inspector of Awards, whose decision shall be final."
