ICd., 9s. to 9s. 6d.; mixed aged ewes, in lamb, 6s. Ed. to lis.; f. and f. ewes, 10s. to lis. 7d.; fat e\m, 135.; good forward bullocks, £7 16s. 6a.
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agcncv Company. Ltd., state:-We have to report" a, successful opening sale at Rongotea, when we yarded 1200 sheep, 315 cattle, and 24 pigs. There was a large attendance of the public, buyers being present from the surrounding districts, including a strong contingent from PaSrcerston North. Although the sheep were accommodated m a special set of hurdle p?ns, and the yards temporarily subdivided, the Holding capacity was taxed. Sheep: Cull ewes, 2=. od. to 4s. 2d.; culi wethers, Bs.; good lambs, 9s. ICd.; forward ewes, 9s. 7d., ?.-. ICd. to ICs.; ewes, in iamb, 12s. sd. Cattle: Weaiiers fsmall!. 20s. to 275.; medium weaners, 30s. to 365. A lino of 80 v.eaner heifers, offered in conjunction with Messrs Gorton ;md Sans, Ltd., made 365.; weaner hellers (extra, cood). £2 175.; wc-'in-cr steers (good), £2 55.; yearling steers, £2 13s. to £2 18s.: 2-ycar steers, £4 75.; backward heifers, in calf £4 is. to £4 65.; heifers, in calf, £4, 13s. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:—At our Palracrston North eale on Thursday, May 9, we had a heavy yarding cf both sheep and cattle, which met with a good sale at tho following prices:—P.m. ewes, in iamb, 12s. 9d.: fat ewes, lis. 2d., 12s. Id.. 13s. to 13s. 2d.; lambs. ss. 2d., 6s. Id. to 9s. 6d.; bull ewes, 6s. 6d.
